By choosing composite materials, we take an important step towards reducing our environmental impact. Opting for composite materials leads to a reduced environmental impact through several factors. Firstly, the manufacturing process for composite materials generally requires less energy and co2 compared to traditional materials like aluminum, while offering a product that lasts longer and performs better against environmental challenges such as corrosion, high temperatures, exposure to UV, salts and chemicals. It's more resistant and durable under various environmental conditions, compared to traditional materials like aluminum. VALDUR is designed to meet today's needs for sustainable urban planning and lighting.

This reduces the environmental impact and guarantees a longer lifespan, especially in demanding environments such as by the sea, where humidity is high and the air is very salty. Thermoset composites withstand environmental stress better than aluminium, which often requires corrosion protection. With its modern design and efficient light, this lamp is ideal for urban and harsh environments.

Beyond the standard lens chosen for VALDUR, we offer a wide variety of lenses from BJB, specially tailored for our Philips diode modules. This allows us to customize and adjust the lighting to specific requirements or preferences.
Thermoset composite
Our thermoset composite luminaire offers superior corrosion resistance, a feature that's incredibly vital in harsh environments such as urban, industrial, coastal, and offshore settings. The thermoset composite material used is extremely durable and resistant to mechanical stress, thus ensuring a longer lifespan in demanding applications.
The thermoset composite material used is inherently stronger and lighter than traditional materials like metal. The superior strength-to-weight ratio of thermoset composites means that less material is required to achieve the same, or even improved, structural integrity and durability. This makes it an ideal choice for various installations where both robustness and ease of handling are paramount. With our advanced manufacturing process, the luminaires are pressed at an extremely high pressure, resulting in one of the toughest composite materials. We can manufacture luminaires in a variety of colors and materials with special mechanical properties, such as heavy-duty variants with advanced composite materials that offer extra fire resistance and are certified with UL94 5VA.
